KAWEESI MURDER: MUSEVENI DEMANDS FOR POLICE CRIMINALS’ LIST

Entebbe - President has demanded for a full list of all Police insiders understood to be criminals of any sorts, especially those involved in high core robberies and murders.

In a security briefing to different security arms, Mr Museveni who also doubles as commander in Chief of the armed forces vowed to crash all rings of criminals in the different forces of the leadership cannot get rid of them.

“I will crash all criminals in the Police and other forces if Gen Kale and his colleagues cannot clear them” The bitter Museveni was quoted. Police Chief Gen Kale Kayihura has started a clean up exercise in the force following the gruesome murder of AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi while leaving his home in Kulambiro a fortnight ago.

Kaweesi was killed along with his body guard and driver. The President remarked that Police has got many corrupt officers shielding criminals.

Museveni ordered the security operatives to draw a comprehensive list of all criminals in Police, vowing to institute stern action on them. Museveni was also quoted as saying he will use the bush war tactics of the NRA to clean up the Police of criminals.

Mr Museveni is understood to have demanded that all Police Officers at the rank of AIGP be investigated, and the entire top brass be disbanded.

A source at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence told this reporter that several military detectives have been sent to Police to conduct investigations, but always frustrated by Police Leadership.
