Minister Challenges Investors On Localized Airline

The Minister of Tourism Maria Lubega Mutagambwa has called for need to have a localized airline which she says is the only missing link to boost tourism in Uganda. The Minister made the remarks during commissioning of Hotel African’s New Lobby and Restaurants during which the Minister revealed that the Hotel has been elevated to five star Hotel.

According to Minister Maria Mutagambwa its high time that both local and international investors joined hands to start a Ugandan based airline if the tourism sector is upgrade to international standards. Minister Mutagambwa adds that owning a Ugandan based airline has been involved in the vision 2040 to affirm the urgent need in the development of the tourism industry of Uganda.


Uganda’s potential to have a localized Airline last existed in the 1980s. The minister also called for need to invest more in the Hotel sector so that Uganda can host many international conferences which she says will contribute to the economic development of the country.


The Chief Executive Office and Proprietor of BMK Group that houses Hotel African Hajji Dr. Brahim Muwanga Kibirige warned couples against engaging into relationship before getting to know their sickle Cells status. He says it’s the only choice to reduce on the increasing cases of Sickle cell victims in the country.


BMK Commends guanine friends citing the likes of Dr. Gordon Wavamuno, Owek Kaddu Kiberu and Bitatule among others for their continued encouragement and support whose critics has yielded into the magnificent Five Star Hotel. He discloses his plans of expanding business given the stable progress and growth he has gained in the Hotel industry. Owek Kaddu Kiberu commended Dr Kibirige for putting up such establishments which have created jobs for Uganda’s labor sector.
