Entebbe - The body of Rachael Muwanguzi 21, who died from Saudi Arabia has been returned to Uganda a midst a somber mood at Entebbe International Airport.

The body has been received by Ugandan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr Yahaya Rashid Ssemudu, relatives and friends of the deceased.

Recheal Muwanguzi left the country about 8 months ago, for greener pastures in Saudi Arabia.

Rachael allegedly died on 27th January, from kidney related illnesses in a Saudi Health Facility.

According to Amb Semuddu, the deceased was reported ill in January to the Embassy, who took the initiative to treat her, but it was reportedly a delayed response, as her condition was already aggravated.


Rachael, a mother to a 1yr old toddler was working as a house maid in the Arab Country.

The body was driven to Kinaawa, near Nateete in Kampala, to her parents’ home.

The parents identified as John Bosco Ddamba and Agnes Nasozi told this reporter that Rachael had never complained to them about any illnesses related to internal organs.

Nasozi added that they always communicated on phone with Rachael, and she was all nothing but fine.

Several Companies and labor exporting agents have come under a spotlight recently with numerous reports of torture and inhumane treatment of female workers exported to the Arabia.

Government recently suspended export of house maids, as investigations in the trade go on to establish the weak links.
